OACRAO Mentorship Program
The OACRAO Mentorship Program is back!
Inspired by AACRAO's peer mentoring model, the OACRAO Mentorship Program provides members with an opportunity to connect based on professional strengths, experiences, areas for growth, and shared interests. Participants will be matched on common job functions, institution type, professional interests, and development goals. The program runs from August 2026 through May 2027 and is designed to foster meaningful professional relationships through monthly engagement and shared learning.
Program Expectations
Participants are expected to:
- Commit to monthly meetings from August 2026 through May 2027
- Actively participate in discussions and goal setting
- Share experiences, ideas, and professional insights
- Respect the time and commitment of fellow participants
Additional resources, suggested discussion topics, and engagement opportunities may be provided throughout the year.
Mentors
Mentors are experienced professionals who provide guidance, support, and feedback to fellow OACRAO members.
Mentor Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in education or higher education
- Commitment to monthly meetings throughout the program
- Willingness to share knowledge, experiences, and feedback
- Interest in supporting the professional growth of others
Mentees
Mentees are individuals seeking professional development, guidance, and connection within the higher education community.
Mentee Requirements
- Commitment to monthly meetings throughout the program
- Willingness to set goals and actively engage in the relationship
- Openness to feedback and new perspectives
- Interest in professional growth and networking

Attending the Annual OACRAO Conference? Great! We plan to provide opportunities for mentors and mentees to meet and connect during the conference.
Not attending the Annual OACRAO Conference? No problem! Conference attendance is not required to participate in the Mentorship Program.
