OACRAO Government Relations Liaison: Brad Myers (myers.7@osu.edu)

"The Ohio Governmental Liaison is an appointed position within the OACRAO Committee structure. The OACRAO member who serves in this position should have considerable experience in a higher education position(s) and have an interest in keeping informed related to state and national legislation and policies related to higher education and most specifically those matters regarding those which impact upon our institutions' functions and reporting."

The OGL goals are as follows:

1. Monitor federal and state higher education legislation and policies for OACRAO institutional relevance.
2. Notify OACRAO Executive Committee and membership of significant changes which impact institutional policies and/or procedures.
3. Suggest relevant speakers/programs for OACRAO Annual Meetings and/or Workshops.
4. Develop and utilize OACRAO communication methods to desseminate information and information sources related to governmental affairs.
